WEDDINGS
I’m Emily, a Flower Grower and Florist based in Cornwall. I grow flowers for weddings in Cornwall and across the South West. Being in the flower field, growing flowers is where I’m happiest, sowing and nurturing seeds and working with nature as it unfurls into something quite special. What is even more special for me is to see those wild and beautiful florals take centre stage on people’s very special wedding days. By using flowers grown here at Three Acre I can ensure that I’m focussing on seasonality and sustainability while ensuring that, as nature intended, the flowers are at their best.
Sustainability is at the heart of my business and where possible I use flowers grown here at THREE ACRE for weddings and events, grown spray free in the most sustainable way I can, if I need to supplement my flowers I will always use British Flowers, grown either by a local grower, who grows in the same way as I do or another British Supplier and Grower who cares about the provenance of the flowers they sell. My arrangements are created foam free and using sustainable and low waste methods.
THREE ACRE
THREE ACRE is our smallholding, located on the North Cornish Coast, just outside Newquay, and where along with growing flowers, I live with my husband and our three children. We feel so lucky to be able to live here and to grow flowers and food for our family. We have a small flock of chickens who provide us with fantastic free range organic eggs and lots of lovely chicken manure that feeds our land.
We have recently planted over 1000 trees at the smallholding, in collaboration with Rising Forests and St Ives Liquor Co. - you can read more about the project here. This feels like an incredible thing to be able to do, creating a woodland area for generations to come on our little patch of the world.
